This is a question I don't just love, but really falls in the category of reasons why I do the work I do - something I challenged myself with many years ago. Academics often say that 'research is 'me-search'' and this couldn't be more true where productivity is concerned. When I was younger, there were a few years in which I worked full-time, AND went to school full-time (thank goodness for evening classes; goodbye weekends!;)) and so it was *very* important to me to maximize every minute of my day productivity-wise, sustainably, in a way that wouldn't lead to burnout.
